Truffle care & storage

Your truffle is freshly harvested, cleaned, gently packed and sent by express post, so you receive them in the best way possible. When your order is delivered please

-unpack the parcel asap

-wrap truffle in a clean, dry paper towel

-store in a sealed glass jar, in the fridge

Change the paper towel daily. This is crucial to extending the life of the truffle and preserving its 'ooh-la-la'! We often have our truffle for over 2 weeks, cared for in this way.

Try putting fresh eggs at the bottom of a jar and store in the fridge. After a few days, the the truffle flavour will infuse the eggs! They can then be cooked and provide an excellent truffled egg dish, without using any truffle!

                                             

Our advice is to be generous with fresh truffle & enjoy it. Plan a few delicious meals and use it up quickly whilst it's at its best. Remember, the season is short!
