Truffle care & storage

Your truffle is freshly harvested, cleaned, gently packed and sent by express post, so you receive them in the best way possible. When your order is delivered please

-unpack the parcel asap

-wrap truffle in a clean, dry paper towel

-store in a sealed glass jar, in the fridge

Change the paper towel daily. This is crucial to extending the life of the truffle and preserving its 'ooh-la-la'! We often have our truffle for over 2 weeks, cared for in this way.

Try putting fresh eggs at the bottom of the jar. After a few days, the the truffle will infuse the eggs and they'll provide an excellent truffled egg dish, without using any truffle!

                                             

Our advice is to be generous with fresh truffle & enjoy it. Plan a few delicious meals and use it up quickly whilst it's at its best. Remember, the season is short!
